Leadership Grayson County Class of 2012
The Chamber is currently accepting applications for this program, designed to allow the leaders of today and potential leaders of tomorrow learn more about our community through lectures, panel discussions, tours and hands-on experiences. During the course of the program class members explore specific areas of our community in-depth including government, law & justice, tourism, economic development, healthcare education and more. This experience enables them to take what they learn and use it – in the workplace, and in the community for the future of Grayson County. Since its inception more than 100 class members have graduated from the program and found it to be an invaluable experience both professionally and personally.
The 2012 Class will begin with the Opening Retreat in March. All other sessions will be held the fourth Thursday of each month, ending in October with graduation. Participation in Leadership Grayson County is a competitive process open to persons living or working in Grayson County, with participants chosen by the Leadership Grayson County Steering Committee based upon the information in their completed application. Deadline for applications is Friday, January 13. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance no later than Friday, January 20. For more information call the Chamber, 259-5587.
